Downloading

Downloading is quite simple, just select the file that matches the computer you would like to run Magic Codes on:

Changes from 0.9 to 0.91: Plugins that require keys now display an error if key is missing, uncaught exceptions from plugins are now caught and displayed in the swingui window.

Installing/Running

Windows

  1. If you do not already have the Java runtimes installed, download and install the Windows Java JRE from Sun
  2. Unzip the Magic Codes zip file using your favorite ZIP utility (perhaps WinZip)
  3. Double-click on mcodes.bat

Macintosh OS X

Often times, Macintosh browsers will automatically download the archive, extract it, and mount the disk image. In the event this does not occur, perform the following commands:

  1. Double-click the magiccodes-0.9.dmg.tgz file to extract it
  2. Double-click the magiccodes-0.9.dmg file to mount it
  3. Double-click the Magic Codes application

Linux

  1. If you do not already have the Java runtimes installed, download and install the Linux Java JRE from Sun
  2. Unzip the Magic Codes tgz file
  3. From the command line, run: sh mcodes.sh
